How can I get certified as an ABA therapist?

    There are a few online programs that you can enroll in that are online master's programs in which you can get your BCBA (board certification). To get a BCBA, you have to have a master's degree or higher with a certain number of supervision and applied hours and your courses have to be approved by the BACB (behavior anlaysis certification board). You can find more information about the requirements on their webpage: www.bacb.com. Another option is that you can get your BCABA which means you are a board certified associate behavior analyst. You can get this if you have a bachelor's degree, certain course work, and a certain number of hours. The difference is that with a BCABA, you have to work under a BCBA.

    A few online programs for the BCBA that I know of are FIT (florida institute of technology) and Univeristy of Nevada Reno.
