Whats the best Camp to send Autisic teenagers to?

My Cousin has autism more severely then I do and I was wondering if anyone knows of any good Camps that my family and I could send her to over the summer, where she could find more friends her age (she's 17) and where she could become more independent. She loves to ride horses, swim and watch Disney films. Thank you!

    There is a camp run out of PA- in Harrisburg, Lancaster and Reading PA called Aaron's Acres. You can check it out at www.aaronsacres.org. The camp is a 2 week session from 9-12 and caters to kids with developmental disabilities.

      Hi, Community Services Group in Williamsport PA has two Autism Summer Therapeutic Camps, one for older kids on the Aspergers side, and one for younger children with low communication skills. the camps have to be prescribed by a psychologist.

      I'm not sure if they are full or not for this year, but they are held every summer.

      Not much here in AZ-

      place called Frogs landing- but seems to be devoted to less needy (toilet trained and more verbal skilled) kiddos

      There are some programs devoted to a more cross categorical setting- not just for children with autism-

      Sad to say there is just not that much...needs are there- just no $ or creative financing...

      Thank you to all of you for your great answers my cousin and I live in Califorina so I will have to see which of the camps that any of you suggested would be affortable for her to go to.
