    I have a son who is autistic and he is 6 and half years old. He has all sort of issues, communication, behaviour, social issues, eating disorder, and sleep issue. Until recently he never talk and communication was a big issue. He goes to ABA school since he is 3 years old and the ABA sytem does help in his academic skill but we haven't seen his behaviour improvement.

    Then we were seaking outside help and we found Dr. Solomon in Annarber, Michigan who had developed so called The play project. It is a kind of one on one interaction with my son. Though the skill is bit difficult, we have learned some skill to creat interaction and we have noticed my son was engaging and interacting.

    Now my son has improved in many ways. He is talking a little bit and his behaviour has improved a little bit ( following direction etc) he is getting more social . His eating better  specially after we have seen a counselor and he is sleeping better.

    I heard about a dog and i would like to try it with my son if it is has an impact.

    I have heard that a lot of these dogs are usually labs but I do know that Malamutes and Samoyeds are very good with children too.
