What does you or the person with Autism you love do for fun!

As a teacher, I see my students love movement. Especially dancing. I teach common dance routines to the chicken dance, Hokey Pokey, and Greg and Steve songs and my students can not get enough.

I would love to know what else is fun for you!

Our son loves anything to do with music and that includes singing and dancing.  He rides his bike and his horse.  Anything physical that gets him moving and tires him out.

My son has just started doing scavenger hunts, and he LOVES it! Simple things, when we are on a walk, a list may be: find a blue house, find 3 stopsigns, find a tree with heart shaped leaves, etc. His new babysitter started this(she used to work for MRDD) and he absolutely thinks it is the most fun ever.

Anything physical.  He likes rock climbing. The fake rock climbing walls they have for people to climb.  He also likes waterparks and parks. Anything that spins although I limit his spinning time as he has sensory issues and doesnt know when to stop.

Wow, awesome ideas. Thanks for replying. I have found that my students also really enjoy shaving cream and sometimes a bean table. I also have the children pull each other around on scooter boards and they just love it.

My son enjoys, anything musical, dancing, singing...He also enjoys finger painting and puzzles. We use big floor puzzles now for something new...New and different is better for him, unless it is a video. ;-)

my son loves the compute, especially learning games.  We think that's where he learned to read.  One day while walking through the grocery store he just started reading the names of the Keeble elves.  Since then he has started playing on the internet, primarily Nickjr.com and PBS.org.  My older son has turned him onto funnyjunk.com.  Noah also likes puzzles, hiking and swimming (he has been taking swimming lessons since he was three).

When my son was smaller he loved singing, dancing, play-doh, he especially loved the Jump Start, Magic School Bus, Arthur games for the computer. In fact, even though he's 18 now, he still likes to play them once in awhile :o). He also loves puzzles, board games (pokemon monopoly, pokemon sorry, etc. lol yep he's a pokemon fan), he also really loved (and still does lol) the I-Spy type books like where's Waldo etc. We even do I-Spy when we're out and about! And Lego's are STILL huge with him! Now that's he older he loves his video games. That actually started when he was about 10-11 years old. His favorites are games like, Pokemon, Sly Cooper, Ratchet & Clank, Jax and Daxter, Harry Potter etc. The more adventure type games. For outdoor stuff he loves swimming, hiking, picnics and camping. He likes boating/fishing but does get bored quickly. We like to find things too as we go along, cool rocks, leaves, flowers etc. And books, he loves his books! Especially the series of Pirateology, Dragonology, Egyptology to name a few. These are awesome books that are really interactive in so many ways! They even have 'field guides' that you can get that accompany them. And of course Harry Potter lol! He's read them all and can't wait for The Tales of Beedle the Bard :o). Also the Lord of the Rings series and E.B. White (Charlotte's Web, Stuart Little), and The Chornicles of Narnia series by CS Lewis. Yep he loves the movies too. So he's really anxious for them to get going as he's read the books and can't wait now LOL.

My son LOVES movies. Some of his faves are Toy Story & Songe Bob cartoons. He likes to dance--is almost in constant motion (excpet when watching a movie)Smile. He likes pressure too. He will lay on the floor & I can put a pillow on his back & apply gentle pressure & he LOVES it. He is REALL sensory driven & loves to play in swing & sit & spin, tunnels, things like that.
